LEARN YOUR MACHINE OR SERGER

Do you have a sewing machine or serger (overlock) but don't know how to thread it? Learn to thread your machine, what the stitches are for and about needles and thread. Any make of sewing machine or serger. Call Connie at the store for an appointment for individual lesson. FEE: $15 per hour session (no charge if machine purchased here.)


EMBROIDERY CLUB

Club meetings are held the third Saturday of each month. Join us for a morning of fun and sharing a new project every month. Pat Norris will e-mail you the month's project at the beginning of each month. PLEASE LET THEM KNOW IF YOU WILL BE ATTENDING.

**NEW** INTERMEDIATE 5D EMBROIDERY SOFTWARE CLUB

These intermediate lessons go beyond the basics. We are going to a new level of creativity and personalization in embroidery! We will explore the various software modules and we all enjoy sharing our knowledge.

SERGER CLUB

This project based club — beyond the finishing of seams. The prerequisite for the serger classes is the operations classes given by dealers to learn the basics of threading and using the serger. The first project is a cozy flannel quilt. Make this quilt quickly and easily on your serger. It is made from fat quarters! Many come already coordinated, ready to go! Then quilt it on your sewing or embroidery machine.

**NEW** VIKING CLUB 2012

Viking Club is a monthly session based on information/projects/techniques prepared and presented by a Husqvarna Viking Educator that we, in turn present to you. The theme for January, February & March is Texture and April, May & June is Cutwork. The featured techniques include Embroidery, Software and a new format called Compute and Sew, to bring it all together. Compute and Sew will feature a hands-on software lesson as well as a project to sew. Details for each month's presentation and/or class will be available when you sign-up for the club. There will be samples of the projects available in the store. You will also have the opportunity to purchase or order any of the featured feet and supplies at a discount.

QUILTING CLASSES


INTRODUCTION TO QUILT MAKING, ROTARY CUTTING, BASIC BINDINGS

This one session, lecture/demo class will give you the basics of rotary cutting and machine piecing. Bring rotary cutter, mat, acrylic ruler and 1/2 yard of scrap fabric. Binding is your last step in finishing your quilt. You will learn how to cut and attach a basic binding, turn corners and important tricks to make binding your quilt fast and easy. Bring sewing machine, basic sewing supplies and 1/2 yd. of 2 scrap fabrics.

TURNING TWENTY — Use your stash of fat quarters (18"x22"), You only need 20 fat quarters. You can cut this quilt (using a rotary cutter) in less than 30 minutes and you can finish sewing this quilt in 3 hours!

BEGINNING SEWING FOR KIDS — 1ST AND 2ND Grades

Learn how to thread a needle, use scissors correctly and how to pin fabric. We will make several projects using the techniques for hand sewing. Our first step in learning to sew.

BEGINNING QUILTING FOR KIDS — 4th grade and above - Learn to make a simple quilt to use while you read, watch TV or take a nap.

INTERMEDIATE QUILTING FOR KIDS — 5th grade and above — This class is open only for kids who took "Beginning Quilting for Kids". Different pattern from Beginning Quilting.
